The staff and board of the Greater East Side/District 2 Community Council was greatly saddened to hear of the passing of board & executive committee member, Richard Kramer. Kramer represented the Northwest quadrant of our neighborhood since the early 1990’s serving as a board member, executive committee member and president.
Kramer died shortly after a crash on Johnson Parkway on Tuesday September 24. District Council staff will miss his wit, mentorship and his encyclopedic knowledge of zoning and city ordinances. As a printer by trade, he had been our printer of everything from envelopes to our annual newsletter. In addition to serving on the district council, Kramer spent 21 years on St Paul’s Planning Commission and was appointed to the Met. Council where he served for 8 years.
Once memorial details are confirmed with the Kramer Family, we will post the information in our e-newsletter and on our website at greatereastsidesp.org. We wish to convey to the family our heartfelt thanks for sharing Richard with us for so many years and our sincere condolences for his loss.
